Dutch Railways (Nederlandse Spoorwegen, NS) is the principal passenger railway operator in the Netherlands, providing daily transport for more than 1.1 million passengers.

Move to SuccessFactors HCM suite powered by Nexus Move

Dutch Railways embarked on a strategic payroll transformation initiative to insource their payroll system through the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP). The project included the migration of systems, payroll processes, employee master data, payroll results, and operational payroll activities into SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.

Through the use of Nexus Move Dutch Railways saved 9 months of consulting fees, when compared to the cost of the software equates to a return on investment of over 743%.

Thanks to the Nexus Suite Data Replication Module Dutch Railways has the full history of their employee master data available from within their Employee Central Payroll environment.

The Nexus Suite Data Conversion Module enabled Dutch Railways to easily migrate their employee master to the Employee Central Foundation, Employment and Person entities.

Go-Live took approximately 18 hours for their 31K staff, that’s under 2 seconds per person and includes all of the employee data (all master data, time & payroll results , audit logs etc) in 10 concurrent processing sessions.

The day after the configuration was shifted, Dutch Railways were running payroll within ECP and comparing the results between ECP and their on-premise production environment for a subset of around 1,000 employees through the use of the Nexus Suite Payroll Verification Module.

In addition, the implementation of the Payroll Control Centre was fast tracked using Nexus Suite HCM Reporting Module to power all of the checks and KPI charts required. No ABAP coding was required to achieve Dutch Railway's desired reporting outcomes.
